| Dionne Nicole,
also known as DINI (pronounced Dee - Nee), has been actively involved
in music since the 4th grade. First learning to play the violin, she
then broadened her musical skills by taking piano lessons, studying
the theory of music, and developing her vocal skills. As a long - time
student of Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, PA, Dionne Nicole
has appeared on ABC with the Children's Choir, and has performed in
various locations throughout the Tri - State Area. She has made appearances
at Frangelica's, Society Hill PlayHouse, Plays & Players Theater in
Philadelphia, PA, Marlo's and Irvington Manor in Northern New Jersey,
and Nell's and Downtime with Jihad and the band Earshot in New York.

In
addition to being a singer, Dionne Nicole is also a songwriter, producer,
and arranger, recording many of her own songs. She currently works out
of MaddBass Recording Studio in East Orange, NJ, and is working with
the Black Fluid production team, who has produced material on City High's
debut album. She has also worked with singer/songwriter/producer Kenny
Whitehead, who has made a contribution to the Major Figgas debut album.
Aireck Zoser, producer/engineer at Perfect Pair Recording Studio, has
also contributed to Dionne Nicole's project. |
Dionne
Nicole's primary goal is to become a well - rounded artist. In the future
she sees herself broadening her skills by writing, producing, and arranging
for other aspiring and established artists. |

As
a double - major of Music and Economics at Swarthmore College, she was
also heavily involved in several musical organizations on campus. As
a member of the Chorus, Orchestra, Gospel Choir, a funk band, and an
African - American A Cappella group named Black Coffee, Dionne Nicole
continued to develop her musical skills. |

Growing
up, she listened to artists such as Teena Marie, Deneice Williams, Anita
Baker and El Debarge. She loved the creativity that these artists exhibited
in their music. Some of today's artists that she enjoys are Erykah Badu,
Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill and Carl Thomas. |
